Academic Regulations

The Academic Session

The College follows the semester system of the Senate of Serampore College for the B.Miss. course.

The First Semester begins in June and ends in October. The Second Semester begins in November and ends in April. Examinations are conducted at the end of each semester.

Eligibility

Admission Requirements

  1. The candidate should have completed 18 years of age at the time of entrance test.
  2. Candidate should have passed 10+2 (Higher secondary/ PUC) course with eligibility to enter a degree course of a recognized University.
Procedure & Selection

Admission Procedure

Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from the College Office during the office hours with the payment of Rs 50/- OR one can write to the Principal by post or by e-mail for Admission form along with a Demand Draft or Money Order of Rs 50/-.

The filled-in application forms and required documents should be submitted to the College Office by the given deadline. Incomplete filled-in forms or supporting documents will not be entertained.

The admission process consists of two levels of tests and interviews: The Preliminary Entrance Test and Personal Interview.

The Preliminary Entrance Test

The entrance test is conducted in English at the Synod Committee Room, Synod Office: Aizawl. The test covers three areas:

  1. Language (English)
  2. General Knowledge (Awareness of current events, movements, etc.)
  3. Bible Knowledge (Basic knowledge of the English Bible — NRSV)

Personal Interview

All candidates short-listed after the Preliminary Entrance Test will have to appear for Personal Interview which will be conducted during the first week of March.
